Barre | 31 Fitness StudioWhat Is Barre? Barre is a full-body strength training workout that incorporates moves from ballet, Pilates, and yoga. This workout is for all fitness levels. Most of the exercises use bodyweight resistance — with the exception of light weights for arm exercises — and require you to balance with a hand on a ballet barre or sturdy chair for support- sometimes standing & mat Pilates are also incorporated, but the ballet barre is always available when needed. It focuses on low-impact, high-intensity movements designed to strengthen your body in ways that few other workouts can. Class involves hand weights, ab balls, yoga balls, resistance bands and/or Pilates rings.
